NO NO NO!!! Especially on the Power Acoustik bro, they are $H!T!!!!! And for the Kenwoods, theyre really not going to pack much of a punch, kenwood has damn good H.U.s in their Excelon line up but pretty much everything else really isnt worth it, and those amps are rated at 1000 watts max power not RMS and they only have a single 40 amp fuse so i promise u theyre not pushin more than 400 rms. I would save up your money bro and get u something that will last and be well worth your money!

Maybe check out a Hifonics Brutus or Titan series amp. They are pretty solid amps from what I've heard, and they can be had new with a warranty in your price range. Just an idea, and they'll be more solid than either the Kenwoods or the PA...

Thanks <D. Greenwood13>. I'll look into that. I've never heard of either brand so that shows you how much i know about this stuff. I know enough to put it in and make sure it works, but thats about it.

Awesome. I really like the price point on them. Especially for the power I'm getting. Now I'm worried about blowin the subs! some of those amps are pushin more RMS than my subs can handle! Don't wanna blow those!

yea but dont worry about that my amp pushes 2400 rms and my subs are 600 rms 1200 max each. I've got it set to push 1400-1600 rms, they wang real hard prob could take more but dont wanna cook em. Just remember set your gains with a dmm and dont be volume happy thats the way to keep your stuff playin.

Yeah thats true. But i like to play my shit loud. I mean not to go deaf or anything, but pretty loud. I'll have to shop around and get some input to make sure I don't blow anything again.

A shop is going to tell you whatever they can to get your to spend money. If you don't want to blow anything, make sure you have clean signal throughout your system. It's better to overpower your subs than to underpower them. If your amp is larger than your subs power handling, you can just keep your gain down. This limits the amount of power that the subs actually see. The best way to set your gains when doing this is with a DMM and Ohm's Law. This way, you're sure how much power your subs are actually seeing.

Alright great! Damn you guys are helpful. I just need to test the resistance on the subs when it stops raining, then i can get back to you with that and shop for an amp!
