The 800x1 Rockford is enough. The Rockford Power series puts out more power than they rate. You usually get a paper with Rockford amps telling you the exact output level of your amp and they are usually rated higher than say. An 800w amp may be putting out 900w+.

I would use two of them. You could set each voice coil on its own channel from the amps. This would leave you at 4 ohms instead of two. Your amps will run cooler and sound better. You will also get more clean power.

It just depends on what you want to do. One of the amps could push both woofers, but I think it would sound better and hit harder if you used both. I would try it both ways and see which you like better. I had my woofers in 2 ohms and I didn't think it sounded as clear.

Those eclipse subs LOVE power. You would need to use both of them for the subs, to get the best performance.

Those subs do love power. I'm running a pair of those same ones off of a JBL 1200.1 and they could easily take one of those on each!! I went for SQ so this worked well for me, but if you want to really push those subs, you'll need to use both your amps.

I would think so, but I don't deal with car audio that much. I mostly just do live sound.

The cap would help, but if you're running two Punch 800's and another amp, you almost have to get a new alternator.
