Definitly go with aftermarket speakers and sub with your 5 ch.Your speakers ohms will not match your new amp.It will probally sound worse or with too much power you'll smoke your speakers.

How much you looking to spend thats the biggest question. Then how much power do you need.Any cheap 5 channel will get loud.Quality comes with cracking the wallet. On the cheap side 150,Nice amp 3-4-5-$600+.

I am probably going to buy a used one for about $200 or less. Not sure what I should be looking for.

If you get one thats has atleast 75w rms for the 4 speakers and atleast 3-400w rms for sub.you will notice the differance. You'll be satisfied if your not a person that cant get enough bass like me.the lower the THD #'s that the amp has will give you beter sound quality.I could be wrong ,but I dont think so

The lower the THD numbers, the cleaner the power the amp puts out... So if it does 200w at .05% THD compared to 200w at .1%THD, the first amp is not going to clip as much, and will help to prolong the life of your speakers...

OP, you're going to see more change in sound quality by replacing the front speakers with a decent to good component set and a small 2 channel amp to power them, rather than amping all of your factory speakers and sub...

If you are going to go with a 5 ch amp, I'd check out this one:

I've had several HiFonics amps over the last 10+ years and have always had good luck with them.
