Smile Amp?

I just bought some subs today and I was wondering what a good site to order an amp was. Not too expensive. Possibly to order cables too. Thanks.

Don't know I picked up everything from local shop for $320, box, 2 12" subs, a 1400 watt amp and wires including installation. Not a bad deal at all.

And I picked up a 2 Farad capacitor from fry's today for only $20.

That's crazy good. Mine are 2 12" too. Bought the subs first because of the deal. Now looking for the rest.

Go with quality versus quantity, it's important for sound quality. I would even check your local CL to see what's out there.

How much are you planning on spending?
What kind of subs did you get?

I'm definitely looking for quality. I think I have an amp in mind, just need to get paid. Found cables on Ebay.

I got Xplodes. Not the best, I know. But they were having quite the sale.

^^ check your local craigslist as vas25tl said. Sometimes you can get what you want for much less price.

What exactly should I be looking for in the amp? The subs are 12" Xplodes 1000W each.

You should be looking for how many channels it has and also how many watts it has. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I heard one time that for every 500 watts you need a battery. Is that true?

I've never ran a second battery and the last system I had was a class D mtx 1500 watt amp (which is actually true power unlike this cheap shit out there) with 2 Orion 15's.

I am personally a BIG fan of the Class D amps, I used to have (I think) it's the MTX 775 r 750 amp and it hit perfect on my Kickers. Those amps hit the low's real nice.

If there is only one in your area then try other areas around you.

I'll do that. How exactly do you know how many channels it has? Or that you need.

The channels are used for if you anything else that you want to put into the amp besides the sub(s). Some use amps for tweeters, mids, speakers, and subs. So the other channel would be used for them. So if you only have one sub then you just need one channel.

First off dont buy a refub amp!!! bad idea. Make SURE you look at The RMS wattage. the one on the link is 600. For those who dont know RMS is what the amp really puts out.

If you have 2 12's lok at the RMS on the speakers if its 400 RMS a peice get a True 1000 RMS watt amp.

You want a amp like this
