It depends on what price range you are looking at. New or used? Amps range from under to $100 to over $1,000. If you are looking for good value and performance, Rockford, Kicker, MTX. If you want high end and expensive, JL, Zapco, Xtant, Brax, Arc Audio. The list is endless. We need more specifics to help narrow it down.

phoenix gold titanium ti400.2 is what I have running my 2 ten MBQuarts, Its a strong amp and recommend it, but if you want more power than step up to the ti600.2 for about a hundred more, that should be more than enough.

The ti400.2 is alittle over $400 on the internet

Phoenix Gold makes great stuff. You could not go wrong with either of the amps listed.

If they are dual 4 ohm voice coil subs then, your final load will either be 2 ohm per sub or 4 ohm total. Most sub amps put there max power into 2 ohms so, that would not be a great option. Unless you get two amps. The best solution would be a big 2 channel amp. You could either bridge it or just run one sub per channel. The Phoenix Gold amps mentioned would be great. Less expensive would be Kicker KX800.2 ($340) or Rockford 851S ($277). Both of these put out about 400 watts into 2 ohms stereo or over 800 bridged. I got these on ebay. Actually, the PG 400.2 is about the same as the Kicker on ebay and the Ti600.2 runs around $440. These are just some simple choices I am throwing out. There are tons of others but, Kicker and Rockford make a good amp with lots of power at decent prices.

Boss amps are entry level at best. For most audio lovers, they would not even consider Boss. However, if it works for you.

The only reason i considered it was because i know nothing about amps and i went on that website and it had 3 separate 5 star reviews. Anyways, how should i actually setup the amp with the subs. I mean, do i want a 2 channel amp or is there a way to make a mono amp work for 2 subs?

For a few less $$, you could go PG Tantrums also. Not as sleek looking but great amps.

With dual 4 ohm voice coils, you would need a sub amp that would be 1 ohm stable or one that puts out alot of power into a 4 ohm load. Something like the JL 500/1 puts out 500 watts into anything from 1.3 to 4 ohms. That would give each sub 250 watts. They are awesome amps.

I really could not tell you if there is a audible advantage to using dual voice coils. I know it allows alot more install flexibility but, that is all I could tell you.

As far as receivers go, it depends on features and price. I personally like Alpine and Eclipse. I have an Alpine IVA-C800 in my Honda CRV and an Eclispe 7002 in my TL. They are both indash screens and the Alpine has a built in CD player. I use the Alpine 624 changer and the Eclipse 5122 changer. Neither of my setups plays MP3 but, I do not use MP3's anyway.
