my friend tells me the quality of sound won't be as good as if i were to get a better amp to run my components, etc, any opinions?

 

I think your sound quality will be fine assuming that the amp is in good condition. I would be more concerned with the source unit....what are you using for a cd player? The quality of that, and the voltage of your outputs, would probably have the greatest influence on the overall sound.

Just my opinion though...I don't claim to be any kind of audio expert.

 

never been a fan of fosgate full range speakers. even the higher models sound like shit. and i have heard just about every brand thats out there. (so dont even think about flaming)

 

I think the Type-RF components looks pimp, but they are lacking compared to some others. I heard them back to back with Bostons, Crossfire, and Alpine. Just not the best choice for da $$.

 

i got a alpine 9813 h/u, thing is i got these three items for 300 bucks, debating wether i should sell this stuff off or just keep it, my friend tells me to sell the amp and then get another one
