Alternator or Capisator

If i get one 12 wit 300watts rms would i have to upgrade the alt or get a cap.

the amp will be Kenwood KAC 729 i believe 300 rms and 600 peak

And no...you shouldn't. It's 600W @ 2 ohms, or 300W @ 4 ohms...bridged. That's not a lot. You MAY, depending on how your setup turns out...need a 0.5 Farad capacitor...but I doubt it.
