alpine type x
The Type X mids and tweets are actually made for them in Europe by a old-line speaker house. They are pretty darned good... but I don't think the 177 "6.5" will fit in the door of an Acura without cutting metal.
The 137 "5.25" will, and sound very good. They are the same mids that were in my old Alpine SPXF13M kit taht I started with last year. Better than most "6.5"s...

Those Type X are really loud only if you have the perfect box for it. I heard some that sounds like crap and I heard 1 12 that sounded like 2 12's. Those hit really hard and low. But you would need at least 1000watts into one sub as they are power hungry sub.
I actualy have one.
In my older car i used to have two alpine 12" Type R's and one 800 RMS 1100 MAX amp pushin them and my seats folded down (MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE IN SOUND)
Now in my acura i have ONE TYPE X and one 1000 RMS 1800 MAX amp pushin this sub and it sounds louder than my old car with the seats down!
ED99 is right, they are power hungry subs and it will take at least 1000 watts to make em sound mean. sometimes they hurt my ears!!!!
but they are worth every penny i paid for it!
