I had two 12" type-R's in my civic before they got stolen. They were good subs! They pounded hard and got the job done for a great price. No complaints here.

ok the components are too big for our cars but if you want them in there you have to cut and modify the bracket inside the door...and i am also not impressed by there speakers...the subs...are my favorite out of there line of type r....if you have any other questions on the set up i have a 9855 with 6.5 components and 6x9s....so i can help you out....oh and my one 6x9 has separated the metal from the rubber ring and im getting a bad sound out of it...so yea any questions ask me

what about the Type S..I was leaning more towards those anyway, and what size for the front doors?..Also I was looking @ the SBR-S102V/SBR-S122V which is the Type-R in a vented box. Anyone have experience w/these?

i have two alpine type r subs, they're good for the price, and spl, i had to turn my amp down because i thought it was gonna mess up my trunk hinge, as far as for interior speakers, i think i want a little more clarity than the alpine speakers, im probably going to put pioneer interior speakers in the door and rear deck

I also like Type R, my brother has 1 12" in the BMW, and it hits. If you want 1 12", I would go with Type X. For the interior speakers, I wouldnt just go with any Pioneer, if its the high brand of Pioneer ( I forgot what's it called ), then thats fine. Other than that I wouldnt because the design of it. Had some before in the old car, wasnt impressed that much.

yea for one i would also go with type x, but i got two 12's for $100 so it was a deal, as far as pioneer speakers, in my old civic coupe i had pioneer ts-a1681r 6.5in in the front and ts-a6991r 6x9 in the rear i loved the sound quality of it

I had 2 type R 10" in my trunk and they sounded great together. However, due to space issues, I only have one 10" now. It still sounds good with just one, but awsome with 2!
