Alpine HU Model #'s

is there some type of comparison chart for Alpine HUs? There's so many models.. I'm getting this for my kid so I'd like to get something used off of Craigslist. It has to have i-pod integration.
thx!

Check that link, then choose your car. From there, it will help you narrow down your search to what models fit without much (if any) custom work. Then you can use the left side to search for the features you want/don't want. That should give you an idea of what model you're looking for, but those are mostly brand new ones.

If you're looking for a good, cheap, Alpine deck with Ipod, I'd suggest the 9884. I used one for awhile, then sold it to my buddy, and he still has it in his truck. It's a very solid unit, pretty cheap, and has a nice Ipod integration.

Thanks! However I don't think that shows older models that may be available used (like on ebay or craigslist). I'd like to get something under $100. maybe an old 9883 or something like that. I was just hoping there might be some type of chart that shows models from recent years and their specs.
thx

The 'older' alpine units are gonna still be ipod ready, but you'll have to buy the 420i interface. New they were like $100, now you may be able to find them for like 40-50. Late model alpines use a single cable from the unit to the ipod.
Or you could always use the aux output of whichever deck you get, only problem is,the ipod won't charge while it's in use.
