What's up guys, my friend just bought an Alpine CDE-122 headunit for his Acura CL... Everything is wired and the head unit powers on/off and illuminates correctly. The problem we're having is that Only the Radio source plays sound; Aux, USB, and Disc do not. Any ideas?

 

Check the HU manual? Also some HU have a Parking Ground that has to be installed for it to play DVDs and Such I dunno if your particular HU have that...

yeah i was wondering, i have a 99 CL. i wanna take the original stereo headunit out and have a monitor put in but im seeing some people complain theyre having problems with it.. anyone have any advice?

Some Alpines will switch the "Antenna Power" off on anything other than the radio. And the separate "Remote Turn On" doesn't like high power draws off that lead. You'll have to experiment. I tried to wire directly to Red (power on), but that produced a loud pop because the Bose amp turned on too soon.
