I've a '01 CL-S and am considering upgrading the speakers and the amp.

I've had very good results with Alpine speakers years ago (like 15+) and was considering stopping at a local shop that carries Alpine audio products.

However, from a few of the comments I've read here, it may well be that Alpine has gone the way of so many older 'good' companies.

Does anyone have any thoughts on any of Alpine's products. The comments regarding Focal's stuff are getting my attention but cost, after a point, is a selection criteria, albeit, not the top one.

 

In terms of speaker quality, I'm not sure there where they used to be. H/U's are however. Might wanna check out OZ audio, Diamond Audio, Focal (they have different price categories...polykevlar, polyglass, utopia, etc.), Dynaudio, or CD Technologies. However, it really depends what your ears like!

 

i was told that thier speakers arnt that great. head unit, amp wise they are good. i cant back up the head unit, but ive got 2 alpine amps in my car that i love
