Arrow Alpine EQ installed in the CD holder.

Did this last fall - just wanted to finally post a pic. Turns on with Bose and controls the sub too! Working on a new setup for my amps & sub in the trunk. Will have pics later this month. Hard to get a good pic - looks better in person. The Alpine finish matches our dash perfectly

Got the EQ from StreetEffectz!!

Damn, I was going to do that, but you got to it much faster than I. I have a Kenwood DSP that is half-din and fits perfectly into that slot but I haven't acquired enough money to do my system yet, so I guess i will have to wait. However, I will post pics when I get everything done.

Nice job, seems to make the dash look less cheap and much more sophisticated. How does it sound? Are you running the highs off of the EQ? I'm hoping my DSP will change the sound of the system drastically. I know that a good headunit is very important, but a really good passive equalizer or DSP would change the quality of the sound, even if it is coming from a line conversion. Any professional advice???

Keep up the good work...

Thanks for the compliments guys

Dragon TL- Not a professional but Check my sig, changed everything except the Bose h/u. I spliced and soldered the spkr leads from my Bose to leads on a 4-channel line out converter. From there I have 2 short RCA cables connected to the rear channel on the LOC that go to the input on my EQ. The EQ then has 6 RCA pre-outs (front & rear channel and subwoofer) that go to my two amps.

The only part of the CD holder that's left is the face that surrounds the EQ. When I took out the Bose I removed the guts from the CD holder and mounted my EQ on top of the Bose. Then I used the CD drawer and cut the ends off and sanded them small enough so they would fit in the sides of the EQ so you don't see a gap, to finish off the look. And I had to cut a little piece of metal off inside the frame that the stereo mounts to - it prevented the EQ from sliding all the way back. But that piece was not used for anything, just a useless flange.
