TL: Alarm system recs??
Many alarms systems will allow you to do that but you'll have to buy a add-on module to do so and don't forget extra labour to install it. I'd go with viper alarms, or any other DEI systems. Many models to choose from, which one depends on your needs. Go to a local dealer and find out prices, specs, and what extra's are needed for your car.
Viper alarms do pretty good. However I am a little more partial to Compustar. I have installed many systems from each company and feel the Compustar systems are better designed.
As said earlier, window control will require additional modules. The best modules will allow you to close the windows when you arm the alarm, roll the windows down using an aux output, and give you "soft touch" on the power window switches. Just expect to spend a lot of money to add that feature.

I have a Python 872 with 2000ft range and like it. Always had audiovox prestiage alarms so still getting used to it.
I installed sensors with my alarm such as siren with back up battery built in, DEI back up battery, tilt sensor, and glass audio sensor.
DEI alarms are good! I also heard autopage are very good as well. The most important part is not the alarm but who installs it.
If you like I have an extra siren with back up battery built in that I can sell for cheap! Send me a pm if your interested! good luck!

im approaching 2k worth of audio about to go in my car and need some security!!! (also - it's about to be summer time.. would love to be able to roll the window down when i walk up to my car).
Viper of Compustar both are good, as most of the alarm will do the job, you don't want to have it set up as "most sensitive" then almost anything can set it off, strong wind, rain, tiny dead branch fall down from a tree, squirrel, kind of annoying especially at night. Happened to me all the time, every time the alarm went off, i run out to check it, nobody there. One stormy winter night, i heard a short alarm for a few secs then no more, and i was too lazy to go check it out thinking maybe a false alarm. Went out to the car the next morning and found out the window is broken, the hood is open, the battery's positive cable was cut (that's why the alarm only went off for a few secs) And all my CDs,DVDs, indash DVD player, along with my Kicker sub and 2 amps gone bye bye.

I've been doing car audio for a long time now.. Go with DEI for sure. They have a lifetime warranty, and are an awesome company to deal with if you ever have any issues. Avital is DEI's cheapo stuff, limited on features. Viper 5901 is a good one, 1 mile range, 2-way, remstart, all that jazz. Whatever you end up getting, BE SURE to get the backup battery and 2 piezo sirens (P/N 520T and 513T if memory serves me right), and a relay to power just the sirens alone, they are much, much louder. Piezo sirens are awesome, we used to call them pain generators back in the day, as they are 120 dB of high frequency, mind numbing noise, designed to go up under your dash. We used to sneak up on other installers with a drill battery and watch them jump 10 feet in the air when we activate them near the person's ear.
A side note on shock sensors, because I get asked about them all the time from customers. I'm old school, mine is turned down ALL the way, cuz the only reason you should really worry when your alarm is going off is if the hood or doors are opened. I find shock sensors to be a nuisance, as you can break a window without causing impact to a car these days. Just my two cents.
A note on installing your alarm- BE SURE to hook up the factory alarm and disarm in the Acura as well, so that it will work in conjunction with the Viper. We are all familiar with the "6 tone Revenger sequence" that we hear in parking lots and tend to ignore. Now show me a car whose factory alarm is going off simultaneously with the aftermarket one (1 underhood and 2 piezo sirens inside), and I'm gonna run outside if I'm the owner, or shit my pants if I'm the potential thief.

totally agree with this.. i had this done to my car and i def know when my alarm is going off because its loud and different! My siren also has a backup battery built it in so if they disconnect the battery the siren will still go off!
I have an extra siren with a backup battery built in for sale if your interested!
send me an email at mrprada69@aol.com
