Aftermarket Headunit with stock amp/sub help

I got a jvc headunit installed, with the speakers still run off the bose amp, but the sub is not working. i really want to get the sub running again, but dont know how to do it from behind the headunit (dont want to run rca's from the back seat). do i need a line-in converter, and if yes, does the line output converter work backwards? any ideas appreciated.... BTW its an 03 tl

I have the same problem, I've tried everything to get the stock sub hooked up with no results, I"m just gonna buy a cheap amp and run RCA's and do it the easy way, keep it simple. Cause that sub sure sounded good, I miss my baby....

there is no way to connect once you change your HU........if you want to keep it you have to buy an amp and wire it up the same way you wire any aftermarket sub.......

This is not accurate. Sorry dreem1er. You can wire up the factory subwoofer amp right to the subwoofer preout on your new deck. That way your subwoofer control on your JVC will control the level of the factory BOSE sub. Works awesome. Instructions are in the DIY section at the top of the "Audio/Video" forum. Please read that first. If you still have any other questions please let me know.
