After market navi
Hey, I want to get an aftermarket navi installed. I guess I have to get one of those flip up screens and have it where the notepad tray is. Anyone know any good screen/navi system? I would prefer cheap. hehe Since I think installation would be expensive.

One word: Alpine! They are a little pricey, but if you don't want to spend that much, you could always get one of them crappy little Garmin peices of shit that sit on your freakin dashboard.

Well I was planning on spending the most a total of $1500 including installation. Think thats possible?

The screen itself will probably end up costing you that much. If $1500 is your max, you'd be better off getting that Streetpilot III color GPS system. It's one of those portable ones that you stick on your dashboard.

What I was thinkin about doing was getting gps software for my laptop. I always have my laptop w/ me in my trunk and that stuff is cheap as dirt. Thats what I would do if I were you.

All you need is:
1) Laptop
2) A copy of Microsoft Streets & Trips 2001 (the program that I use, there are other very capable programs out there)
3) A portable GPS that plugs either into your USB or SERIAL port, they go for like $150 or so...
It's not that expensive.
