adding tweeters to 03 cl

is it possible to just add them or do u have to amp them, or at least get components. im going to be installing my subs soon but leave the factory deck and speakers in. what can i do to install a good set of tweeters, and what are some good tweeters out there?

thanks

You mean it didn't come with tweeters? Or you just want to replace the tweeters?

Well the factory position is the best place for tweeters to be mounted, it provides the best imaging. I would go with focal speakers.

You would have to amp them.

Most likely because bose speakers usually have some crazy impeadance issues that work with their amp

The TN-45 tweeter will fit in the stock location but the TN-52 tweeter is larger and will have to be placed in the a-pillar.

I'd have to disagree with you on the stock location providing the best imaging though. I had the TN-45 in the stock location before. It sounded very good but still a little bit flat. When I upgraded to the TN-52 and relocated to the a-pillar, it definitely sounded more dynamic...almost like I was in a concert hall.

I have no idea what they cost separately. The TN-52 tweeters came with the 165 K2P component set. Check with an authorized dealer.

If you're talking about the tweeter pods, that is by far one of the worst places to put them for imaging. The mid and highs need to be as close as possible to each other for the best imaging. Mounting them down by the mids and angling them slightly upward produces the best imaging.

Pick up the phone book and call a local car audio shop. I'm sure somebody will sell them separately...you just gotta check around.

I can tell you where I got mine, but I doubt you want to come all the way where I am to buy a set of tweeters.

music in motion on the south side does a pretty good job, call them, musicinmotion.net, although, i like the stock tweeters as long as you have a separate amp

I would love to help you out...but we're not even in the same time zone...or country for that matter.
