Accessories...

I have a GPS and a car charger I would like to get out of the cigarette plugs.

I want one to lose power when the car turns off and the other to always have power. I plan to hard wire one into the cigarette plug in the back, but where is a good place to hard wire the other?

Thanks

Well, I decided to run it into the fuse box on the passenger side... I have it wired into the passenger seat controls.
It'll probably stay that way unless someone else gets a better suggestion.

I'll have to take pics when I get home and show where I put my equipment and how I ran the cables.

I choose not to use the center console one too cause I have all kinds of garbage in there and it's easier to leave it unused rather than trace a power cable out like your image shows. I didn't want to use the one above the coin tray because I wanted it to look clean and get all the cables out of the way.

Now I wish I had taken pics of what I had before and what I have now.

I like this, but I modded my 'spare' compartment above the radio to hold mine. You'll see in the pics after I upload them.

Here are some pictures I took of what I did to my rat's nest of cables.
(I wish I had a pic of what it looked like prior to this)

These two pictures are what it looks like now...

The arrow depicts where I had a long coil of cable for my GPS.

I had it coming out of here and running along side the shifter.

Now I have the GPS hard wired into the back of the cigarette lighter and coming out here.

I have the phone charger tapped into the passenger seat adjuster and running under the glove box and coming out just next to my ProClip mount.
(I do not yet have the new mount for my new phone.)

I posted a while back how I mounted my GPS into the tray above the radio.
Here is the link to the post in that thread: ~ https://acurazine.com/forums/showpos...2&postcount=14 ~
I like my GPS here (In front of the radio) because it isn't in my vision.
I have all my radio presets set and I know what they are, so I don't need to see what is displayed.
