I just got back from a road trip through georgia. I stopped at a dealership there to update the PCMCIA card for the next region.

While there, the manager of the service department mentioned that acura was currently working on a way to convert the cartridge based 99 system to the DVD system. Has anyone here anything regarding this conversion?

 

Acura was currently working ??????? On their website, they said not compatible.....

I and another fellow TL on this board Blackshadow have done this conversion months ago. Mine works great with no problem what so ever. Blackshadow also did the conversion.... and he has no problem either.

 

bigmonkey70, how much did it cost to upgrade? also, did the dvd based system plug right into the wiring harness or did you have to do some other mods to get it to work?

 

it's plug and play.

 

That's good NAV mod if you can efford some $$. Try to find it from junk yard.
