I just purchased a used 99 cl 2.3, it wasn't my first choice but after my jeep was totaled and I had to rush to find a new car I am really happy with it. I have been trying to figure out the best way to slowly upgrade the stereo in it. After much searching and even more searching I am pretty sure that it does not have a bose stereo in it. How ever it does have split components in the front. What I am wondering is whether or not the head unit is powering these speakers or not. I tried to look for an amp when I was checking to see if it was a bose, havn't found the word BOSE on any of the equipment, and no amps. All of my attemps to find out about this stereo have been in Vain. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP. I want to replace the 6x9s first, then the components and then add a sub. I have an old Fosgate 40/40 amp.

3get some nice amp for SQ 50-80 wats per channel

this way you'll see a lot of improvment in sq
