Ok I've owned my 98 CL 3.0 Premium since November 1st 2005, yep I still remember it! Anyways I still have the stock Bose system it, well the other day driving to work it just died, only the radio and clock died. I'm thinking maybe the power cable finally worked its way out but idk yet. I say this because I can hear a small metallic clinking sound when driving, it's like the plug is dangling around. The weird thing is I checked all the fuses and there good, so why would the clock loose power, well it barely lights up and then slowly fades away after a few minutes. Sooo I've been reading up on how to hook up an aftermarket head unit in and I need a jumper harness or totally bypass the amp. Well I must have that odd year cause I can find the harness for the 97 and 99 on up, no 98. A few years ago I planned on swapping everything out and the tech told me I just had to bypass/ pull out the Bose setup.

What is my best option? Ideally I'd like to put in a new unit and 12" sub
