7 cds in my 6 disc TSX nav
So my buddy was awesome enough to jam a CD into my 2004 TSX nav in dash six disc. The unit resisted the disc at first, and then accepted it. I tried to eject the disc but I kept getting an error. Then, after shutting the car off and turning it back on, my CD player is unresponsive.
I've tried unplugging the battery for an hour, i've tried using tweezers to pull the 7th cd out. Nothing is working. I've been searching this forum, and I think there might be a blown fuse in the changer now. When I press CD, nothing happens. The stereo doesn't even attempt to switch over to the CD. Acura wants $1200 for a new six disc. That's just crazy.
Is there any way for me to remove the six disc and keep my nav? I've seen diagrams and it looks like it can be done. Audio playback from my nav is not important, as I keep it muted most of the time any way. I was going to try and pull out the entire unit, separate the six disc from the nav screen, reinstall the nav screen and buy an aftermarket cd player. Has anyone done this? I was going to try and mess with the stock cd player first to see if I could get it working, but I have my doubts after reading through some semi related posts.

Make a hole, coming thru!
He didn't know what the "Load" button was for? (using my non-navi as example)
My suggestion:
Step 1. Drive to desert.
Step 2. Kick buddy out of car.
Step 3. Show him how your exhaust looks....

So any idea how to remove the top of the cd player? I have the mechanism out of the dash, and the six disc unit separated, but I can't figure out how to open the six disc bay door to remove the 7th disc. Any ideas?
