i want to replace the rear speakers. i don't want to spend too much money because i don't have any. i already have an amp, from my old car. it's a rockford 75.2. it'll (supposedly) push out 150x2 in 2 ohms. now my choices for the back are pioneer premiere ts-e6995 (aprox $120 shipped) or focal 690hc (aprox $200 shipped). what would you get?
i have the pioneers you're talking about, and i think they're great. however, i can't imagine that they'd compare to anything focal. of course, you'd have to make sure the magnets will allow a cool fit... i dunno, i'd say focal just cause the name is top-notch

oh, they sound fuckin great compared to the stock. i got 'em running off about 80 watts RMS, and they sound cool as fuck, it's just that focal is supposed to be the shiiiiaaat. so listen to both and see what you like. but the pioneers are in no way shitty speakers, i love 'em
Well...
Well Focal does have different lines (as do most other speakers) so I would try to give em' a listen first before buying them. Focals are damned good speakers, but unfortunately for me it's generally top of the line (Utopia) and this poor boy can't afford that at the current time
(1g for 6 1/2's at the local shop).
You might want to listen to the Quarts as well, generally I don't know what you are planning, but if anything serious keep in mind that the rears are generally going to be for rear fill only.
