2 10".....its moving more air. If you wanna save space.....then get the 12"....either way it will cost you the same amount of $$$$!

The 10s be able to hit more precise and lower Hz, right?

But with 2 10s wouldn't you get some.... what's the word... I can't think of the word but like the two of them going at the same time would it create like a bad resonsance?

bass cancelation? meaning the sound waves of each sub would cancel the others therefore not producing the precise and accurate reproduction? in a small enclosure like the trunk, i don't think you'd notice. and also, doesn't the 12 hit lower since it has more area? i had 2 tens in my trunk before and changed them with 1 12 and it seems the 12's lower notes seem more defined and full. it could be the box too.

Yeah, acuraJL just educated me some more on AIM and on the phone.

I'm thinking of going up to a 12w7 and 1000.1 now, if budget allows.

I'm definitely thinking W7s now too since they seem to be the best for sound quality, but still think I'll go with the 1 10W7 and a 500/1 since it better suits my budget...the 1000/1 is too damn expensive. I sat in JL's GTI last night with 2 13W7s and 2 1000/1s, that car is fucking sick! I really need to get some bass added real soon.

Im using 2 10W7s powered by one JL1000.... It BANGED for da longest time. But i just ran into some problems wit the amp or charging system i think. Doesnt bump like it used to... think there might be a factory defect... My setup is very bassy and hits da low dirty bass real good...

I've heard that the first batch of 1000/1s had some problems
