2nd Generation TL - will JL audio TR600-CXi 6" speaker fit?

2002TL
will JL audio TR600-CXi 6" speaker fit my front and back door speakers?
I went to an audio store, and they told me that our factory speaker is 5.25 round speakers..
but i see many of the people on the forum put in 6.5 speakers in there with some minor mod.
I don't want to make the speaker hole bigger. so will these 6" fit?

There are basically two 6" sizes. One is an "oversize" 6.5 or sometimes called a 6.75. The other is a "narrow" 6", sometimes called a 6" or 6..25.

Whatever you call them, the JL is the bigger of the two and won't go without some metal cutting at least, if even then.

Many of the Japanese 6" comps (Alpine) will fit... as will the Focal 165 and the DLS UP6.

Can anybody list the speakers that will fit without cutting the metal around the speakers?

Have you LOOKED at the speaker list in the Car Audio and Electronics buyer's guide? There's more speakers than you can swing a cat at...

Let's try this... what budget are you looking to spend on F speakers, are you installing them yourself, and how much power will you be running, and is there a sub in the system?

I bet you can get quite a few recommendations at that point. (Don't know if they'll HELP...: )

Good luck!

Alpine is known for their head units not for their speakers. Whatever speaker you choose I would stay with a 6.5.

I have a 99 with 6.5" speakers all around, with only spacers needed to fit, no cutting.
