2001 CL Type S/ Bose sound?? Amplifier unit??

I need some help guys, i bought a 01 acura cl type s, and the sound system is not working?? The radio and nav unit work perfectly, and all the front bose speakers are there, but the back are missing, there are 2 aftermarket speakers in there place?? There are also a bunch of cut wires in the trunk, aso i think the previous owner had a system and removed it before selling.

Is there some kind of a brain or amplifier unit to power the bose system, and would it be located in the trunk??

Would i be able to hook up all the speakers to a aftermarket ampifier to get everything to work properly, or could i throw a sub and amp in the trunk?? But how would i get the fronts to work?? the more help the better, i do not know much about car audio, i just really want my speakers to power on and work??

I basically think i am missing the BOSE amp, and the guy cut the harness so the wires are still there?? so do i need to get a new harness and a new BOSE amp, or can i go after market?? All the front speakers are still there, will these only run with a BOSE amp??

Please help i want to try to resolve this problem ASAP. If i can wire in an aftermarket amp with a sub set up that would be great, but will it allow my front speakers to work??

HU stands for head unit or your radio.
The amp should be behind the passanger trunk panel. It's likely still there & the wires are not hook up to it right. I'd be complaining to whoever sold it to you. They must have known the stereo did not work.

You need to check. You have to take the trunk carpeting out & find out for sure.
Your 2 options are fix the stock setup, or go aftermarket. Either way since you don't know anything about car audio go to a decent stereo shop to set it up right. & by decent I don't mean best buy or a chain store like them.

well i took all the trunk lining out and i dont see anything, where exactly is it positioned??

All i see is 8 wires that are cut, and one thick orange wire??

So if i dont have the bose amplifier can i use an after market amp a re wire it , to still make the stock Bose speakers work??

Do any of you guys have pics of the stock amp in the car, and the wiring, that would be a great help.

And if the stock amp was missing, would the stock Head Unit still power on??
