2000 Acura TL Sub Hookup Question, PLEASE HELP!
So I'm trying to install some subs in my 2000 Acura 3.2 TL. I have the Bose Surround System that comes with the Sub next to the highs in the back. I like my head unit and the sound isn't bad, however I want some added bass. Basically I'm looking to see if anyone knows if I can do a hookup to the stock stereo, obviously including the RCA and remote hookups. Also wondering if anyone has any advice as far as where and how to run the wires to the car battery and head unit the easiest. Is this possible or do I have to buy an aftermarket stereo? Am I much better off just buying an after-market stereo. I've also heard that the Bose System that comes stock already has an amplifier on it. Is this true? Will this effect my installation at all? I'd appreciate any advice...

Welcome
This has been done quite a few times, and there are a lot of posts about it, try searching. In any event, it is possible, there is a little junction box behind the passenger rear seat where you can tap the remote wire from and splice the sub signal into a Line-Out-Converter. And from the LOC connect RCA's to your aftermarket amp. You can run the pwer wire from the battery thru the firewall and down the driver side doorsills and into the trunk. There's a diagram here somewhere...
EDIT: damn. jonesi beat me to it!

Well this is what I did with my 99 TL if you would like to know...
4 Gauge Power Wire - From the battery all the way back to the trunk
Remote Wire - Spliced the wire and connected to the fuse. located on driver side
RCA Cables - DIDNT USE!
Ground Wire - Connected it to the bolt in the trunk underneath the trunk liner
Setup:
- Ran all the wires through the side panels of the doors
- Hooked up the amp, with the adapter for line input, three way split the stock sub to get the line, but hooked it up to the adapter that came with the amp.
- The rest, is self explanatory but if any questions, just holla...
