Hello, I have an acura 2.2cl premium edition, my cd player in my head unit has decided to stop working, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me what other acura/honda headunits would be a direct fit/swap into my cl. I really don't want to have to buy anything else, I.E. wiring harnesses, pretty much I want something like plug and play. And I don't want to have to buy a new headunit, I like how the acura/honda ones looks.

Would that head unit from a 97 + prelude work (plug and play)?

Any help would be appreciated

 

I can get you a CD and tape from a 97 if you like. Just plug it in and play. Let me know what you think.

 

I dont think the prelude one will work, cause they have that weird "acoustic response" system or whatever its called...
dont quote me on that though, i'm not sure.

Any pre-98 deck will plug right in to your car... but may I suggest that you get an Alpine 6 disc changer and the adapter to plug into your deck... you'll keep the simple and nice looking stock deck, plus you'll gain 6 cd convience. Best buy/circuit city carry the adapters which are about $30 and the changer is about $270 new.
