My son just put a JL Audio W0 12" with a Jensen XA2250 amp in his '97 CL. It is in a sealed enclosure. Does JL make a grill to fit over to help protect the speaker? I can't find one anywhere. If not, any recommendations?

 

you may want to check radio shack they have grill covers

 

Miner, if I were you, I would go to Electronic Parts Outlet (EPO) which is located on Fondren, between Westpark and Richmond. You can buy that grill for $3. Besure to pick up a four holder as well. I just bought one yesterday to installed it on my JL 12W3 so I know
BTW, since you're in Katy, it might be a drive for you...I'm not sure if there is an EPO in Katy.

Yes, it looks very nice. The holders are little plastic clips that actually holds the grill to the sub. If you look at your sub, there is nothing to hold this grill to it..and these plastic holders are there for just that. I can take a pic for you and post here but I don't have any web space

 

For what was paid for it, the amp will do. From your 'expert' opinion do you mind posting links about this amp catching fire or blowing? If it is just your opinion, so be it. "Opinions are like @ss holes, everyone has one and everyone thinks everyone elses stinks."

 

well i dont know much about @ssholes, so ill take your word for that, but i do know about jensen amps i had one and it burned up from the inside and melted granted it was an older one i still wouldnt trust that brand or any other car audio stuff you can buy at an auto parts store.
but hey if you dont want to take my advice dont, i just hope you have car insurance
