10" sub with amp or two 6X9 subs in rear deck?

Not sure which one I want to do. Does anyone recommend one or the other. I dont like obnoxious bass but I do like a nice bass kick in the back. Also waht are some good 6X9 subs for the back deck?

I've been looking at the CDT CL-69s in case I start upgrading the gf's TSX.

I haven't seen too many other 6x9 speakers that aren't full range.

to really get the most out of 6x9's the need to be in an enclosure. you can't expect much using them free air

cdt, dls, rainbow, and seas make great speakers. an 8" would be fine for what you want though, and probably be cheaper in the end

Would you be adding the 6x9's without an amp? If so, don't even bother with them - go with the 10". Not a good idea to buy aftermarket speakers of any kind without an amp.

open air subs dont make good bass they just rattle, if you want nice clean bass you need a 12" sub that is inclosed in a box in the trunk. you could go with 10" sub but i dont think you would feel that much from it.

well if you are not in to inclosing the subwoofer i know that kicker makes a nice 10 or even 12" sub that has a slim magnet and it fits with some small modification in the rear deck. but what ever you do get a seperate amp.

right know i have 2, 12" alpine type E in a inclosed box in my tunck that are bolted down, and im pushing 500watt alpine amp the bass in perfact no rattle and its clean.
