Does anyone know how to take the tweeters out on the dase board or know a link that could show me how to do it? I want to replace my existing tweeters with some higher end stuff. Also what size are they anyways>? Thanks peeps.

These are the easiest speakers to remove in the whole car. They pop out using a pick tool or a small flat-blade screwdriver.

4) What Speakers are stock?
Dash: 1” soft-dome tweeter. Crossover point unknown. Connects directly to the OE amp with its own pair of wires with no crossover. Either the OE amp has an active tweeter xover, or more likely it is paralleled with the F door speakers and has a passive crossover in the amp.
Due to how the grille is attached to the speaker, it is very difficult to use the OE grill for the tweeter. You will probably end up with the new tweeter in place of the OE grill. This often looks a bit darker and glossier – FYI. You could also wrap the new tweeter in matching grill cloth, which I keep meaning to do… You have no depth limits, but it is hard to get to from below – above only. If you use separates up front, you have to rewire a bit to use the aftermarket speakers’ crossover on the tweeter and F mid.
I can't recommend just changing the tweeters, though. I would suggest getting a mid/tweet comp set.
Is P-town Providence or Portland?

Thanks for the link-
I already have a subwoofer hooked up with an output converter- I really do want to also replace my front 6.5s to. Can you get to the speakers without prying out the whole door?? One thing I was wondering, when someone installs a after marker head unit wouldn't it cut off the use of the steering oem audio buttons? Ptown = Pomona in callifornia. Thanks for the input man.

I removed the tweeters yesterday without a problem, I was reading a thread and correct me if I'm wrong but some of you guys with Tsx's replace the oem amp with an aftermarket amp and putting it in the same place?
