The 6x9's only receive bass. I don't know the exact frequency range.

You can definitely just use this wire for the sound going to the subwoofer amp. Not sure if this is what you were saying, but you can't just simply cut the wire and put an RCA plug on it. This is a high level amplified signal, and the RCA input of your amp is expecting a low level non amplified signal.

Just use a Hi-Lo convert aka LOC and you will be able to use that setup with no problem. That is how my bass amp is setup as well as many other TSXers on this board.

I see, I think there are only 4 channels that come out of the factory HU though.

I believe that the 6x9s/subwoofer are tied into the rear channel, because when I fade to the front I lose the sound going to my subwoofer.

exactly, the 6x9s run off the rears. Like 536 said, the head unit has Front and Rear "RCA's" only (although they don't have RCA connectors). this is from the head unit before the stock amp

ok .. finally took the time to install mostly everything that makes sound ... lol. too lazy to do the rest. yes eld .. i'll agree .. Front,no rear fill, and a subs sounds great. but i still miss the concert environment i was gettin from my teg.

But one problem .. after install .. i notice my FM signal got weaker.

Here's how i did mines.

HU spliced to get RCA. Splice was made before the amp and location of splice is made near the head unit. rca runs down the middle consle to the rear into the trunk. stock amp is disconnected.

Does the stock amp's output plug has a wire that controls the powered antena?

Ex: which drawing is the correct depiction of the vehicle's wiring?

As in the two crappy lame drawing .. by disconnecting the factory alarm .. top drawing will conclude that power antena will not be working. as in bottom drawing .. it's not affected.

What kind of amps did you put in? Did you happen to put in a class D mono amp?

I'm not 100% but I believe that the bottom drawing is correct. The rear window antenna amp has it's signal that comes directly from the factory HU, not the OEM amp.

Best way to test this is to get a voltmeter and check to see if the rear antenna is getting power. You'll have to remove the D pillar (driver side rear) for this and check to make sure it's still turning on.

The 4 channel amps are not, and I am using a 300/4 as well, except mine's under the pass seat.

It MIGHT be a voltage thing - may be the amp sags the voltage? If you temporarily disconnect the RTO from the amp and just turn it on with a short piece of wire/paper clip, does your FM get better? Maybe you need to put in a relay to boost the voltage...
