04 TSX Ipod radio tuner and sat. radio question

I got the add on FM transmitter for my ipod, mainly to play songs in my parents cars and a truck. Works great on those, but it will not come in clearly in my car. I have a Sirrus radio-could that be the issue with why its not coming in clearly?

Is the Sirius hard wired or is it a FM transmitter also?

Certainly don't keep 2 FM transmitting devices on frequencies anywhere near each other. If you have to run 2 of them, find empty frequencies way apart on the spectrum to use.

Personally I've never had any luck getting a clear signal out of FM transmitters, hard wired is the only way to go in the end.

Hard wired but I have a kill switch, and I barely use it anymore-its always off. I was just curious, its not an option to hard wire the ipod into my car; i barely use the ipod in my car, its really just for the beater truck and my parents cars

Its probably poor performance of the FM transmitter then. Isn't the FM antenna for the TSX in the passenger C pillar? In which cast that weak transmitter is sitting like 8 feet away from the antenna, which isn't too good. Try putting some music on and tossing it in the back seat or rear deck, closer to the antenna? Just a thought.

The FM antenna is in the rear windshield.

So do you have a Sirius tuner that is hardwired? How do you listen to it the Sirius, do you have to tune to a radio station or switch to the AUX input on the deck.

Where in Jersey do you live? I had an FM transmitter.....DLO, I read great reviews on it all over the web, but these people probably live in the Midwest or elsewhere.

NJ is too close to two major markets (Philly & NYC) to find a free bandwidth on the radio....so you're probably going to have to live with the crappy quality.

My experience with the FM transmitter was not a good one. I live in north east NJ. I hard wired, but I used the PIE X3. this gave me 3 inputs to choose from. Sirius,
i-pod, etc.

Does the Ipod transmitter have the option to change the frequency?
