There is no stock amp for the speakers, only the sub amp behind the rear seat on the passenger side. As for the speakers they will fit, but I don't think the speakers you had the link to would really sound any better. The highs will sound better since they have actual tweeters, but over all I would expect the fosgates to fall behind.

Most speakers will be fine running off power from a after market h/u that are priced around $100 or less. Once you go above that is when you start getting into speakers that are made to be amplified TYPICALLY, this is not always true but a simple way to look at it.

there should be an amp for speakers to, i had an 01 CL, it didn't have a sub, but all of my speakers ran through a factory amp that was located in the trunk on the passenger side behind the carpeting....

yea but they will sound way better than the 20watt stock bose speakers. these are rms 40watt. and those are jus for the back seats. i picked up bostom acoustics sc60s for the front speakers

Just because the RMS is higher doesn't mean they are going to sound better. I'm not saying that the Bose speakers are great I just don't think I would spend the money to get speakers that won't be noticeably better. I could be wrong since I don't have any experience with these speakers. Based off of other speakers in this price range I wouldn't expect much from them.

as far as the stock amp for the midranges and such, everything is inside the radio itself, only the sub itself uses that amp behind the rear seat (and a builtin headunit amp is never going to supply enough power to those 40 rms speakers to ever push them beyond there capactity, you need an external amp for that)

and 7" speaker LMFAO, you can fit anything in there if you trim enough metal away (i still had to trim with my 6" ones

You are exactly right. Also the speakers you got are not a match for taking advantage of the stock amp. Bose amps are 2ohm so who ever didn't buy 2ohm speakers (jbl or infinity) then you just dropped the wattage of the amp by half if you bought 4ohm speakers. People if you want to do a simple upgrade to get rid of the "muddiness" the stock 2nd gen TL/CL tend to have, if you swap out for an aftermarket 2ohm 2-way speaker to replace the stock full range drivers then you've achieved what you wanted. Added clarity and even more clarity at higher vol compared to stock. You MUST as these questions before you waste you money as the stores don't care. They want the sale. They'll install ANYTHING you want.
