well a new local club member who isn't on the boards stumbled upon this one. his buddy owns an installation shop, and is getting one of these installed THIS weekend. i'm gonna go to the shop with him to watch the installation and see what this thing is. the details are:

it's called Accel ( or something like that...excel )

takes 1 hour to install. basically just plugs into the wire harness coming off the nav rom using an adapter.

and it WILL use the nav roms sound outputs. although it's only two speakers, it's still sound.

and the unit costs a little over a hundred bucks.

it's in the mail right now, and should arrive anyday. marco is going to let me know when it comes in so we can get this thing installed, and to spread the word.

his buddy at the shop say's that the place that makes this thing does NOT have an online address. it can only be ordered out of the book he has, and only to authorized people. BUT the guy is really cool. so if this thing works, he will be my contact guy to order these things from.

so lastly, i'll keep you posted AS soon as this thing comes in (the next few days) i'll get a few pics of it, and explain more on how it works when i see it.

oh, and a side note, they guy installs these things on other nav systems like mercedes and stuff. so he really knows what he's talking about.

I'M SO ANXSIOUS (sp) to see what this thing is!

fucken ass! the shop won't be able to get the part until march 15th. so any word on this new thing? i want to get it done before the meet in march or at the latest by the drive down to LBC in april.

just called my buddy marco. the shop that is ordering this NEW thing received the WRONG items so they have to ship them back before they get the correct stuff. might be a week or two......... grrrrrrrrrrrr my head is going to EXPLODE!!!!!!!!

i'll let everybody know ASAP tho, don't worry about that

hey guys... Im looking into getting a copy made of the AV-RGB1, i can get any number of them made. I just need to get a hold of a AV-RGB1, and see if i can find all the parts for it, and have my factory produce them.


I have one on order, I hope the place come through...

called and they use parts of the rgb1. in shop install only though. punk ass wouldn't sell the part seperately. so jeff, any word from marco?

i called that navi-tv shop and those freakin dick heads wont tell me shit and they said it would cost $1600 for ths mod!!!!!!!

im telling you they are lucky that i live in texas and nowhere near the new york area...

i found a site where it shows you how to wire the nav yourself to play dvds and stuff like that. Not sure if it works and didn't know if everybody knew about it. Was thinking about trying it but dont know if it really works.

Yes, the website is valid. It is one of the board's very own members. However, the instructions require an AV-RGB1 which is nearly impossible to find currently.

as far as the accel thing, my friend flaked on it, but he did tell me that the shop that was going to order it for him said it was only about $125 bux! i don't know why other people were quoted so much more unless my buddy was pulling my leg

damn, i really wish the AVC-RGB1 wasn't discontinued. it seemd like the greatest thing in the world for awhile there.

What is this accel thing? Can a shop like streeteffectz order it and put it in? Is it much different from the AVC-RGB1. I was literally the next install of the Navi conversion for Ron, but no more AVC-RGB1s.
