[TSX] How to install grill with MBQuart RCE-269

to all those that have the MBQ RCE-269 .. how do you install them?

I got the actuall spekaers installed just fine, but i can't get the the grill to go back on. I remember reading long ago that it needs to be cut somehow, but I can't remember how, and I can't find it via searching.

So what needs to be done to the grill to get it to go back on?

Sigh. Just saw this. The top ring is screwed to the RCE 269 from behind. Then they fit fine and then you will miss the missing tabs that seal around the woofer...

yeah i just realized this .... maybe i'll order some new speaker grills :-/

the tabs the clip the grill down to the parcel shelf liner are still there and the front end holds solid, but the back end, not so much. I put some deadening foam ontop of the MB's top ring, and I think i put too much on in the back, and that's why the back's not holding down

oh well, they sound fine for now, and i'll look into the cost for two new grills. I didn't know the MB's top ring was screwed on, I thought it was glue of some kind, and I was afraid of pulling it off and breaking something

anywho... another day, another project
