Went to a SCCA meet today, took lots of pics!
Went to a SCCA meet this morning to shoot pics for freind who was entered in it. I had never been to one before and man was it AWESOME! I had so much fun checking out all the cars and seeing them tear shit up. It really makes me want to start participating in this, just might in the future, i will continue to attend them though.
I know a lot of you have gone or do drive at these things so I wont go into too much. But damn there were all sorts of cars from camaros to m3s to an m5 to corvairs to an old sunbeam tiger and well it goes on and on. And let me tell you, this event gave me a newfound respect for camaros. This one dude was always swapping 1st place with an E36 M3, the M3 eventually won an EVO was also in that running of 1st. All the mustangs there...well they all performed pathetically.
This was also a chance to serioulsy use my nikon D100. I took over 250 pics and I have selected 10 to put online. These pics are all at full size res for people over on ramblings to check out what my camera can do.
This my friends car a highly modded wrx wagon. sti intercooler and sways. running drag slicks and a bunch of other shit i cant remebmer, he has about 15gs in the car.
56K BEWARE, these files are huge. You might want to download them and resize them to see them better. I will most likely take these down in a week or so to not kill my alotted website space. Enjoy

Old corvair, very clean, you can see the custom videocam mount between the seats. My friend is planning on doing this with his wrx and the passneger headrest, he is a movie cameraman like myself

One of 3 EVOs there, this was the one vying for 1st. I started messing with the shutter to get a nice motion blur for a sense of speed.

The M5, my dream car. it was being driven by an older man who drove it like a pussy, didnt even try and push it :ripped: I wanted to jump in the car and show him how move it! almost everyone there did. this picture benefis from the slower shutter.

Nice Pictures, and it annoys me that people have cars like the M5 and don't know how to drive them.
One of the officers at my company a couple of years ago got a Ferrari and when he came into the office parking lot I could hear him grinding the gears and miss-shifting the entire way to his Private parking space.
