Ok guys, I decide that we will cruise along PCH after the meet. If anyone want to cruise the different place, please go ahead and plan for separate cruise in another thread. So many opinions which is typical from a group of people which couldn't do anything if we don't have one voice. So if we don't decide the place soon, it will be just like last time that no one know where to go; therefore, we will cruise on PCH!

Anyway, I drove around PCH today instead of the Azusa, and I think the route from Huntington Beach (Main st) goes south to Crystal Cove (Crystal Cove Promenade) is the best cruise route that offer nice drive and plenty of nice view. I saw couple group of motocycles drove around PCH today and thinking that if we can have 30-40 Acura driving around PCH in display (take both lane) would be a great sight to view. The route is total of 17 miles or so ending at Crystal Cove Promenade. We can take some group's pics at the Promenade, then head back to Fashion Island (5 miles) to have more pics. We can go to state park in Crystal Cove ($10) for better view of the beach, but I don't think lots of us want to pay $10 for parking. If we decide to drive further, we can drive down to Dana Point which also has some nice view (Salt Creek Beach Park), but we have to pass throu Laguna Beach which is crowded and small street.
For those who did not know about Crystal Cove Promenade, it's a place that every Sat hundreds of exotic, rare, high performance cars and thousands of spectators come to this place, but sadly, yesterday is the last time we have such gathering at Crystal Cove.

I did not take much pics, since the weather is dark with low cloud but here are some view of the place we will visit. Final cruise plan will be up shortly.
PCH near Huntington Beach:

Crystal Cove Promenade (near the back end which is very empty)

See the beach in the background?

Fashion Island entrance:

Corporate building inside Fashion Island (nice place to take pics):

No one around PCH care to see our "ugly" car when you drive up north from Long Beach to Torrance beside seabirds around the wetland. On the other hand, driving down to Laguna Beach is totally opposite if we show in force. Who knows, we can have a race with SL500 or Ferrari or Corvette C06 or Porsche along the way. I encounter a black Ferrari (don't know which type and I don't really care because I drool over any Ferrari) and it whoops my ass badly. Man, the engine sound is soooo nice.

I have bad news - my TL is gonna be in the shop for about if not at least 2 weeks, might have to come out in another car. If i can, I'll borrow my father's 3G TL or... rental...

What happens to your car? Hope your car is ready by then.

Yes, Our Acurazine detail class is on Dec. 2nd, but Meguiar's also has class on Nov. 4th and 11th for anyone who want to learn (non car club members). Nov. 4th is more for first time folks, while Nov. 11th is for more advance (know what to do with the porter cable) with testing new products. If you or anyone want to come on either Nov. 4th or 11th, just sign up! I will attend the Nov. 11th class as well. You can come every Sat's class if you want providing you don't mind to be the only one who attend that not belong to a certain car club on that day (hotrods, Ford focus, G35, etc..) and the class is not full by then.

^ and we need steadydaddy to hook it up with that charcoal trick. gotta make sure someone takes a pair of tongs.

i see we have Korean BBQ ribs, carne asada and hot dogs. now, if someone brought some hamburger patties and buns plus condiments(ketchup/mustard/mayonnaise/chipped pickles), we'd be set!!

It's ok bro, unless you can find more good place to take pics along the coast.

Here is the cruise route. Because it's a cruise so we don't have to drive fast, just at the speed limit. There are places that speed limit is down to 35mph, while most of the PCH is 45+.

We will drive from the park (N. Studebaker road) down south, Right on East 22nd street, then Left on PCH. We will have first stop at the parking lot last time we been at the beach (the one just before GoldenWest St with parking meter). We then head down to Crystal Cove Promenade (around 12 miles) by making Left turn on Reef Point, then another left to the Promenade. Drive all the way back along the shopping stores to the end of the mall since that place is very empty. From then, either we continue to head down South to Dana Point, or head up north back to Fashion Island for more pics.

ditto. speaking of drinking, does anyone know how to make drinks? I need to find out a few recipes for making some mixes.

Lac, I like the route, very nicely organized. Hopefully everyone will be able to join us on the cruise.

speaking of being organized on the cruise, whoever has two-way radios, take them. that way we won't have anyone lost. we will assign one channel just for those who are lost or leading a group.

Yes, everyone who doesnt have a radio should try to follow someone with a radio, or better yet, just buy one. They are ~$20-$40 at fry's for a pretty good one!

there is now a 90% chance of going to the meet. One of my girls' is coming with me and she promised she'd go. I'll pick up some two ways on the way down. I'll be staying at a hotel...

-What's a good one around that area? I haven't been down Cali in a minute.

Thanks!

Hotel? You can always scope out a hotel near newport beach, or somewhere along the coast. They have nice little hotels where you can rent a room right by the beach and then just get drunk and party in town.

thanks. the 2 bigger hotels I'm not too interested in. I'll probably hit up a cheaper one. It all depends on where my girl wants to stay.

Depends on how much you want to pay, some motel/hotel near Disneyland is really nice for around 100 buck. Along Beach Blvd (which is around half hour from the meet and the beach) has decent motel/inn for less than $100. Irvine has some good hotel or near Newport Beach but the price is little more pricey.

Actually, I might be able to go. I'm getting my axle fixed today (thank god its gotten really bad), and I dont get out of school until the 27th so I'll just stay another couple days and then go home to visit after that.

I'm about 90% sure I'm going to end up coming
