Why at 7 pm on a saturday night? Reason why I am asking is because I've been to that mall a few times and that parking area by the movies is always packed. Unless there are only a few people showing up for the meet, there is no way that we can all park there together.

I talked to the site admin today and he said it was supposed to be a small meet but this gathering spread to other boards such as this one. He really doesn't know how many people will show up now. No one will know how many people will show up until they do. It could be a large meet or a small one. He does know his whole crew will be there, I know a few maxima owners will be there including me. I saw this on the preludeonline boards and some of them may come. A guy from a WRX board said he would come. Just pay attention to the link I posted before on the 'official thread' and if you can make it, come.
But you know how meets go, some people who say they will come will back out for personal reasons. All I know is, I will be there and will be looking out for the TL's.
If any of you come, look for me and say hello, I will be in a silver maxima.

I used to live in Clifton...when i was 17 actually I went to Clifton high for 1/2 year...then went back to Passiac...I ran track & field in Clifton, get 2 varsity letters there , I just know a few people that were on the track & football team in '97 other then that i don't know anyone, xcept a few girls

Just a heads up for you new guys around the clifton area, there have been a few incidents involving stolen HIDs from our cars. It happened at the movie theater parking area so just be careful if you park your car there at night. It was even in the news a few months ago.
Oh and be careful of all the haters at the mall cause I know there will be a lot of young kids around there.

thanks for the heads up, i didn't know it was bad around this area. I didn't get the Factory shock sensor alarm yet but i guess it might be worth investing into. Clifton Commons theatre is definetly the worst place to park your car, along with the local area malls.
Does anyone know what the shock sensor alarm will run me installed? i forgot what the dealer quoted me..

Wow! I was going to post this HID thing but aol kicked me off on friday and I forgot about it then.
Don't get it installed at the dealer...go to a body shop
75% of HIDS stolen are in the tri-state area. It sucks if they want your HIDs they have to take off the whole front bumper. For us they damage the hood and body and take our lights. It sucks!
Yesterday I went to the Maxima dealer to get something fixed, there were 3 cars there missing HIDs and it was a sad thing to look at.
I bought these bolts for it so it makes it harder for them to steal it but I am defenitely getting an aftermarket alarm.
You know what I wish we could do....I wish I wire an electric current to the ballasts (the things they want) and so if they go to steal it...I can laugh.

I am definitely in, I am in Kearny but close enough to clifton to get together for the drive to menlo.
One question though, have they set a make up date in case the weather isn't on our side for this meet, i know the last few have been messed up due to weather..

sounds good, we'll keep an eye on the weather, all this snow in the ground and the temp in single digits isn't too inviting. Not to mention i can't keep my car clean for an hour at a time.

Weather for Edison, New Jersey
They go rain or shine so there is no other date planned. It says rain now but hopefully that changes by the end of the week. I am still going to go and not let the weather affect me unless it hails. Don't worry about keeping your car clean...it's not an auto show.
I am going to a car wash before the meet though as long as it doesnt rain
