Houston Meet [Saturday February 4]
Ok HOuston TL'ers JR and I have talked it over and decided that the 1960 and Aldine meet is a bit too much. THe drinking, loud music, constant revving, and racing on the main street is a kind of dangerous and poses a threat to ourselves as well as out cars.
SO we decided on another location and date for the hopefully ongoin HOuston TL meets.
Place:
LOCAION: BEHIND HOOTERS @ 1960 & i-45
TIME: starts at 8pm and ends when it ends
How we do:
Chill and hang out, share our love of cars, and to point and laugh at funny cars that go by. THIS MEET IS WELCOME TO ANYONE!!! however everyone must follow these rules!!!
Rules:
1) No alcohol of any kind. Let us repeat: NO alcohol. No drugs will be allowed as well.
2) No repetitive revving engines or sounding your car horns. (if just got a new exhaust or something and someone wants to hear how it sounds, thats cool, but to just sit there and rev your car over and over again for no reason, not cool, just stupid, thats just how i feel, and most other people, i'm sorry
3) No loud music. (please keep it at a low respectful level). Don't attract attention to yourself or others will do the same. Who wants the police to come responding to a complaint about loud music?
4) Please watch your speed as you enter and exit the parking lot from the street. Please be sure to pay attention to how you enter the exit the parking lot. Be alert at all times. Even if you are on the far side of the lot from the meet.
5) Please watch your trash. If you need to throw something away, please place in the dumpsters. Do not leave trash on the ground.
6) There will be a diverse mix of cars and people. This environment is a friendly one. Automotive enthusiast drive many different kinds of cars,and come from many different back grounds. PLEASE RESPECT OTHERS.
7) No street racing at or near the meet or mixing races with the meet.This is a very fast way to lose the meet. We do not condone street racing. We ask you kindly not to do it ANYWHERE near the meet.
8) No burn/peel outs. No reckless driving No drifting or attempts to drift. We all like to show off are new toys,but please don't use that new turbo here.:-)
9) If you want the police off your back, act like you have some sense and stay with in the meet location.
10) Please respect other peoples cars by not leaning or touching them if its not your car.
11) Have fun
please no negative comments on this thread. im just trying to start something to fill an empty saturday night and spread joy to the world.

Our meetin place will be at Greenspoint Mall parking lot in front of Foley's facing 45, we will meet there and then go as a group to the actual meet

Go ahead and add me again. I am coming up for the carshow and to watch the superbowl with family next weekend. I am glad you decided to move the meet as well. The other one definately had some problems.
Why do yall want to meet at Greenspoint first and then drive over to Hooters? I am not sure I understand that.

Its because the place is easier to find and just off the freeway going to the meet....

You guys wouldnt be interested in having a nice fun run around 1230 would you? I wont be out of work until 1140ish so that just pretty much limits my options for saturday night )=

Me and Nguyen is thinking of doing a meet once or twice a month.... Ill try to make a poll what most guys wants....
