"Cure for kids" car show. Sept. 9th. Fall river, MA
Like the title says...Cure for kids car show in FaLL River, MA at Bristol Community College Sept. 9th (rain date Sept 16th). Plenty of parking....three lots which hold 160 cars each.
The following is taken from their myspace page:
The CURE FOR KIDS CAR SHOW is a group of close friends who want to make a diffrence. I had the idea of bringing together 2 of the things i love the most in this world... cars & helping kids. So we decided to throw a benefit car show to raise money for local kids who need our help. This year we've decided to help Cody Fisher. Cody Fisher is a four year old boy that is severely hanicapped. Every day is a struggle for him. He has many disabilities. He has a tracheotomy with a ventilator to assist him with breathing at all times. Cody has a feeding tube directly through his stomach wall called a G-tube. He is primarily fed through this G-tube with pureed foods. Cody lacks the capacity to talk, walk, stand, crawl and can not even support himself in a sitting position. He has little movement with his arms and even has a hard time holding up his head. He is also unable to lay flat on his back due to his mucsle weakness. Cody has been diagnosed with NEUROAXONAL DYSTROPHY. The proceeds from this car show are to help the FISHER'S with the modifications to their home to better suit Cody's needs.

Yeah Russ....I think thats why I'm still single.
The show was good, nice turnout with a little of everything. The judgng had its flaws, but oh well. It was the first year and they plan n breaking it up next year. I didn't place (best hona/acura...too many of them), but my boy with his supercharged civic hatch did and another with his widebody s2000. I'll try to post pics when I get home even though I didn't take many.

Yep, that's my boy's hatch.....clean as hell. He shaved all the holes in the bay and hid all the wiring....lots of work into that thing. Maybe you'll see it in person cuz I want him to come to the Japanese car day. I knew a good amount of the people with cars in the show(lots of "New Riva" people )
It sucked that the car's were grouped together, but it was the first year they organized the event....so next year will be different/more classes. It didn't matter to me because the registration money went to a good cause....
