Chicago SUMMER Meet 2008- Sat July 5th (2pm Skokie)


We are going to have the meet @ 2pm at the Skokie Lagoons.

For directions, the parking lot is on the corner of Willow Rd and Cherry St in Winnetka, IL.

*DO NOT GOOGLE CHERRY ST IN WINNTEKA... there is another Cherry St in town. You need the intersection (other Cherry does not intersect with Willow Rd)

Food will NOT be provided by anyone, HOWEVER, some of us will be going to Portillo's at 1pm for lunch. If you'd like to join us, feel free to meet us there. Portillos is on Skokie Bvld in Skokie, IL go to www.portillos.com to get an address for directions. After that the ones who go will then drive to the Skokie Lagoons and be there by 2pm.


Sorry, we tried to organize the food part but too many people want different things and then there is the money issue.

now this depends on:
if my dad is busy
if my dad is up to it
if the car is under "my name" (under his name, but i 'own' it) (this requires a 4.0 or close to it)
if i don't screw up my grades (currently around 3.66.... i can make it )

 

i went to Gingerman Raceway on thursday. My lower Radiator hose blew off. It wasn't pretty, got coolant all over the place and overheated my coupe, now i replaced the coolent, fixed the hose and its still overheating. I think either the t-stat is sticking or BHG. i'm gonna figure it out today.

I probably wont be able to make it, most likely I will be busy doing other things since its a holiday weekend.

 

I drove through the Nissan/Infinity meet this past Sunday and Dave and Busters was the place to be. Lots of parking spaces , food and beverages. I walked through the cars, took a few pics had a beer and split. Excellent place for a meet.

I'm game for anywhere as long as we get more than twenty cars.

cool. I thought about going but i've been home so much this month already and I'm coming back this weekend for a wedding... the miles are starting to pile up!

 

Is Skokie Lagoon a forest preserve? Maybe we can get a permit and have a picnic so the guys that come far don't just drive all day? A little BBQ, music and maybe a place to take a leak if nature calls. We gotta try to get more organized, I was thinking about making a little flyer that said, check us out on AZ and join us for a little meet and greet, see some nice cars and meet some great people" and dropping it on some nice cars I see around my area.

I guess I'd like to see more people show up thats all.

Sounds good, but that is always the hardest part, at least here in the big D. I've promoted lots of meets/ shows and unless there's food/entertainment, most people don't bother. But us AZ'ers are a different breed.

Yeah, they were talking about Busse Woods having problems with cops. They changed the location to Wilson Skate Park since.

 

alrite cool....the only problem is that last time Seth aka TSX Wisc Badger helped me get there last time and i dont beleive he will be there tomorrow so if someone can get me the directions or help me out...thanxx..
