Guys

One of the users from the NSX crew made the following suggestion

should this be a concern of ours?

"I presume you guys mean Sat 4/16/05. If you plan to do a Skyline/Woodside Road run, I'd suggest you start at the crack of dawn. Otherwise, the traffic sucks so bad that I'll be able to blow by you guys down 84 or 92 on my bicycle..."

I am aware of this that is why we are going to take 92, then 84....92 allthe way to HFB is alway crowded on weekend. 84 on the other had has lots of motorcycles....Am sure that we can co exist with motorcycle...just be safe...

By the way I have a disclaimer......

Everyone attending the meet is going at his own risk. Any accident and or troubles/traffic tickets caused by any individual will not hold Acurazine or Neorick liable. You are all on your own...the Meet is for friendly gathering.

okay, this may be too many cars for a drive to work....we're going to be stuck in traffic, no we are going to cause traffic. driving early morning would be a good idea.

Yeah, the majority of it is single lane with lots of blind corners. That's a road I would rather drive at night. At least you could see headlights to warn you. I almost went head on with a car on that road and I was just cruising.

Here is a suggestion from BEN (an nsx owner who is going to attend our event)

Ben Says:
"From my experience with various NSX club drives.....

As a suggestion, if there really are 50 cars that show up, we should probably break up into 3 or 4 different run groups. It will be hard to keep that many cars together, and people will get lost, broken up at lights/intersections.

We can plan where we want to stage for the full group photo opportunities and lunch break. If we plan a group lunch, I hope we have reserved a place. I don't think any place will be able to accomodate 50 people for walk-in.

Also, it's a good idea for there to be at least one person to lead and bring up the rear of each group, and ideally, all the leaders and sweepers should be in radio contact.

Assuming people do get lost along the way, we should also pass out maps with designated meeting points for photo, lunch, etc. If you lose the group or get lost, go straight to the meeting point.

If any NSX guys are coming, I'll have my NSX Club radios with me"

whoa...pretty sick ops we have going...sounds pretty awesome...but i think thats a pretty good idea...with the radios n stuff...but about the run groups...i mean the traffic lites r gona do that to us anyways...so if there was a couple of cars in group 1 that didnt make the lite theyll get pushed to group 2...n thatll keep happening n so on...get my point?...

Or, if we have planned routes that are planned, printed and then distrubuted to EACH driver with checkpoints

we dont need to worrry about 'staying together

Rick Remember???!!!

Hey rick... just a FYI!!! did you know that with this attendance... $100 dollars each it comes up to over $7,000 dollars...

REMEMBER... that idea you had... Laguna Seca Raceway is $7,000 to reserve...

BTW... Laguna Seca Raceway isn't that far... I live about 15 to 30 minutes away from it and i'm going to attend this meet...

BTW... i don't think the NSX guys would mind paying 100 bucks to get their NSX on the track... they're doing it on GT4... maybe now that will give them a chance to do it for real... buuuut
================================================== =======
Jerky...

1st... Tell Ben to get a User Name here on Azine...

BTW: Ben's idea about the groups is a good idea... every leader and sweeper will have a little radio... groups of 10 will be cool... thats counting the leader and sweeper... everyone won't have to worry about getting lost... even if the groups are seperated... the leaders will know where too etc... and they'll lead the group to the next part of the meet... PM cell #'s is a good idea too... PM me if anyone wants mine...

About the reservation to a restaraunt... we should schedule something soon with some place to eat... or we can make a really really BIG BBQ at a park somewhere in the bay area...

About the traffic... well... I don't know how the traffic is over there... I say just do it!!! who cares... as long as we all make it for the photo shoots and for the breakfast/lunch thing... the drive is what's fun but we won't stay in a group due to traffic lights and other obsticles (cough70YEAROLDLADIEScough)... so i just suggest passing out maps with the group idea too... and the destinations of everything... especially the photo shoots...

Rick... You have everything down yet... Anything we can help you with??? I can bring 2 sents of radios... Hit me up if you'll need anything else...

No changes as of yet

Guys...Do not change the plan...I have been getting PM's from people that they are not going to join us if the drive would end up in Santa Cruz (Highway 17).

I will figure this one out...I know that there are 50 cars. I did not expect 50 Cars..

As a result I am doing some exploratory driving this weekend.

I have some Ideas but this will take some time...In the meantime...Keep the list going!!!!!

If there is an issue...PM me please.....

Hit me up if you'll need anything else...

thanks spooks!!!!

ill ask ben to sign up here, he really is a gem of knowledge!!!

thansk ric for doing all of this, but no reason to go out of your way to accomidate others, that may cause other members to fall off, i we have to drive too far...

just focus on the bay area, and our friends in Santa Cruz will join us im sure
