Gee, I'm glad I'm getting it updated tonight with some new stuff. However, I was unable to get the batmobile protective armor.

OK, going back a few posts, the Toys for Tots thing is a great idea, but who's going to carry around 70 toys until November or whenever they have this toy drive? Is there a Second Harvest food bank around our meeting place? We could all stream through there and drop off bags of canned food... Or it would be good if we picked a charity and collected checks for them and mailed them in. Make a Wish Foundation, Pediatric Aids Foundation, The Ronald McDonald House,... We could post the total donation on Acurazine. It would be easier to collect checks than toys!

We would definitely need one of the SLX guys or MDX guys to come if we have to collect 70 toys!

Hmmmm, I know everyone's expecting to see an NSX, but I wish there was a way I could bring my KA8 too. Maybe I should install the 007 remote driving control thing too, haha.

NA1 is the code for '91-'96 and automatic NSXs of all years.

Thats a good point... unless we all drive (take the meet) to the drop off place, to drop off all the toys... How about that rick??? the meet... the end point is the last place we visit... Toy for Tots drop off place... Is there such a place???

The canned food thing is good too...

I don't think they collect Toys for Tots until Christmas time. Not sure, but that's when I see the advertisments for it. We could take toys to the Children's Hospital though... don't know where there is one, but if you guys want to do toys, that would be an idea...

researchfreak... ask Rick... lets see what he says... Hopefully he'll be checking this out soon so that we can get an answer...

The toy for tots is a good idea... but the toys to the childrens hospitol is a good idea too... and we can park our cars outside... Somewhere under the windows so that they can look out and see all the Acura's and Friends...

The canned food idea isn't bad either... that can be another the we can do...

And what was that about checks...??? Write checks for some charity foundation???

Yeah, if you write a check it's better than giving someone cash and hoping it gets to the charity. Then you can write off your donation. I've asked the hospital what kind of donation they prefer, money or toys. I had to leave a message so have to wait until they get back to me. I'll post after I talk to someone... What do you think Rick? After all, you're the master of ceremonies here!

I'm confirming that I will make it to the meet. Looks like my twin brother will ride with me so he can take pictures.
Hopefully I'll have my A-spec rims and suspension before the meet.

Have you guys heard of some restaurants that hold fund raisers? we could kill two stones with one bird

I went to a chevys (and im sure other restaturants) one time with a promotional paper, you get like 15% off all meals, and then they donate X amount to sponsor a charity..

we could do that, since we're already going to be going to eat.

Benefits= no carrying around toys, no transporting toys, no worrying about toys
We have to eat anyways, so it could be the bestest method..

any thoughts?

only problem is exhaust note is a subjective test, unlike Wheel Gap, which is pretty objective. but we'll see ill come up w/somethin for the bay area crew,

Jerky, I've done these for the school. I believe they have to be set up by the non profit. They usually do them at night anyhow.

I didn't hear from the children's hospital today, but maybe tomorrow. I'll try again in the morning, but I'll be gone a lot tomorrow, so won't be here for their call back.

if we hit 100 (highly unlikely, but whatever) we should celebrate somehow

on another note, im going to start setting up the east bay caravan info soon, maybe some other people should start thinking about where else to set up caravans too, i'll start the list when april rolls around
