Caravan INFO

For SoCal Caravan:
Like last year, we will probably stop at Gaviota Northbound rest stop (only rest area on the way up) for restroom and stretching. Here is the location on the map:

It's about 101miles starting at the 818 Caravan location. So everyone keep this location in mind and stop there if you need to go to restroom and stuffs.

Ok NorCal people, we are stopping at Camp Roberts Rest Area. 120 miles from Morgan Hill and about 8.5 miles from San Miguel.

This is a planned 10min rest stop!! For stretch and others to catch up so we can roll together for the last stretch and make a grand entrance!!!

I am going to go to the market later today. I was going to grab 2 cases of water.

I was wondering if I should buy some extra charcoal for the grill as well? (if it is needed)

either that, or maybe if a few people who have charcoal at home can just toss it in their trunk. that way we have some, and if we need it it's there, if not then they can just take it back home

Is there any certain type I should get? (I use propane for my cooking so I don't know charcoal brands to well

For everybody going in the caravans, make sure you read this!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GET directions to the meet spot!!!! Don't rely 100% on the caravan getting you there. If you have to stop for any reason, or you lose the caravan and can't contact anybody, at least you will know where you are going. Then you won't have to turn around and go home just because you got lost and didn't know where to go.

This is very important and it has happened to poeple.
