I will attend. I am a new owner with a stock 06 TL and really don't have mods in mind. However, I would like to see what others have done and get some ideas.

Do you need me to bring anything?

I drive down to Richmond, VA every week (at speeds that I rather not post) and get plastered with bugs. Last week it was so bad that the bumper looked beige instead of silver

I am getting a clear bra installed this week. I found a place down in Richmond that will do the 3M for $500. That should keep the bugs and road gravel at bay.

Ok, I have good and bad news. My girl decided to surprise me with concert tickets. The only problem with that is that it's on the 24th. So I won't be able to make it to the meet. Sorry about that...I really wanted to go. I love working on cars and it would be great to make it out to this meet, but I won't be able to make it to this one.

4300K will match the stock bulbs. Find a kit that is designed as a direct plug and play with our 9006 fog bulb enclosure. This will save you a lot of time and hassle.

In regards to bulb temperature (this question always gets asked so you are not alone) the higher the temp the more blue / purple the HID will look. Accompanied with this higher temp HID comes lower light output. I believe from the research that I've done and other people's posts that 4300K is the optimal HID bulb temp and produces the highest light output.

Link to generic google search for 9006 HID Kit

You may find HID kit's that have D2R bulbs available. D2R kit's are not plug and play but can be modified to fit. This requires the use of a dremel, rubber bands to intially seal the bulb in place and silicone. I'm coming to the meet so you can see my install if your interested.

I think there is a bit of confusion here. Death, MX6PEDDLER has a CL not a TL. I believe the CLs use a totally different bulb like a wedge bulb (I'm not quite sure).

A good point. I'll do some searching around to see if I can dig up the CL bulb info.

It appears that that the CL use's a 5 watt bulb that is unique to the CL

Here's the official info on the CL and its fog lights / "Road Lamps"

ROAD LAMPS

The CL is equipped with road lamps located below the headlights in
the front bumper. These lights are used in conjunction with both the
low beam and high beam headlights and add a sporty appearance to
the front end design

From the posts on the CL forum it appears that at lot of HID conversions have gone sour due to the size of the housing and it melting. You might want to look into a LED conversion insead which will be much cheaper.

This may also be a good option (link)

Thanks for the heads up JPTL-S...
