I would think it could be done with spring compressor, hydraulic jack, and a few other minor items. Now as far as the know how...I have no clue what you'd need to do specifically. The problem I run into when it comes to springs or coilovers is what to keep and transfer over and what to throw away.

I'm putting in for your immediate transfer to VR-53. Start coordinating your dity move. Your services are greatly needed in the DC/Metro area and you'd be a more beneficial Sailor to the United States Navy if you were more strategically located. (All said with the military type drums in the background)

Ok... I took a poll by PMing everyone who posted in this thread. Here are the results..
Sat 17th - No Good
Sun 18th - NO WAY / Fathers Day
Sat 24th - Seems to be the day...
So as of now the date will be the 24th of June. So with this date, lets take another poll and see who will be attending...
Hopefully this is far enough in advance for people to make plans. Everyone has expressed great interest in this meet so lets make it a good one!

I'll be there.
And Keith, as far as arranging my PCS...go for it. I am getting tired of this shore duty. It's boring. I am used to the squadron life and deploying on 4 days notice...that was more fun, although my girl would not appreciate it.

Cool, thanks for the advice on the spring install folks...I figured it'd take a good amount of time, so I won't worry about it. I want folks to HAVE FUN, not be dicking around trying to put some springs on my car.
I'll definitely be there on the 24th though, count me in!

It honestly may not be that bad depending on how many people are willing to do some work. I can't make any promises, if Blitz makes it, I will be helping him with his mods as I have been saying I would for the past 2 months or so...sorry Keith.

OK. So now that we've narrowed it down (more or less) to the 24th. Can we get another tally of who is coming, what they need help with and what their talent is. This way we can kind of start getting a mental mindset of tools, etc.
Blitz- Coilovers (maybe), Grounding kit, UR pulley, M5 spoiler, Comptech sways.
*My talent- LED's (2G CL), some wiring/soldering, ability to follow along with
a manual.

I will be there and I can install anything that is in my sig. I have a floor jack, 2 jackstands and the standard tools. I'll bring what I can.
Need help installing the Comptech Supercharger....well, I would if I had one anyway. Seriously...don't have any mods planned right now, so I am there to help. I'd like to see how those sways are to do on your car though Keith. That may be something I plan in the future.

I bought some new bushings and I understand that there's a little bit of custom work to get them on, but I don't foresee any major problems. Might have those on at stock ride height. hahaha.

This is how it would work. Anyone who wanted to come and had some knowledge of doing an install/mod would state so in a post. Then people who were looking for help with a particular mod would know if someone could help them. Also, while all of this is going on, we would have a BBQ going on in my backyard. My yard opens up to a large field in the back where people could throw a ball, or maybe some shoes? Once I know how many people are coming we can figure out how much food might cost. I will try to plan on about $10 a head for all the food and drinks. (costco baby)
Meeting place for this event would be in Fairfax VA right off of 66 at rt 123. There is a large office building across the street from my house where we could all meet up and do the picture meet-greet thing, then roll over to my place and get started working on cars.
SO...
1)Who would be interested?
2)What can you do?
3)What do you need help with?
1)Yes, I think I will be there...
2)AEM CAI - Comptech SS - RockBlockers - Debadging - Comptech RSB - Hacked Navi - etc...
3)I could use some help with ASPEC front lip and (maybe) suspension...
I have lots of tools but if people can bring some that would also help. I also have one, 2 1/2 ton floor jack.
So, anyone interested??
Jeff

Sounds good to me. $10 isn't bad. Are you requesting people to bring tools. I'll bring what I can, but I don't have anything special. I'd like to see how hard Illuminated door sills are to do and like I said earlier, I can do anything that is my sig.

I'll check my calendar (meaning my wife's calendar) and I'll see if I can attend. With the right tools I do anything up to a head gasket change.
I may be on my motorcycle, hope that's okay.

1)Count me in! Name = Chris
2)I've done work with HID fog installs on 2G's, Body Kit installs 2G's, and will lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it. I also have some tools I'll bring.
3)My car is in need of a good wash and wax. Already talked to Xtin about the necessary products to bring. I'll also bring a pressure washer that is car friendly.
