1st Annual DC Metro Acurazine BBQ June 24
OK... here it is... There are a few of us that are interested in getting a group together for a meet / greet / installs / BBQ... type of thingy. The idea is that we plan enough in advance so that anyone who wants help doing an install of a particular mod, will have time to order the parts prior.
This is how it would work. Anyone who wanted to come and had some knowledge of doing an install/mod would state so in a post. Then people who were looking for help with a particular mod would know if someone could help them. Also, while all of this is going on, we would have a BBQ going on in my backyard. My yard opens up to a large field in the back where people could throw a ball, or maybe some shoes? Once I know how many people are coming we can figure out how much food might cost. I will try to plan on about $10 a head for all the food and drinks. (costco baby)
Meeting place for this event would be in Fairfax VA right off of 66 at rt 123. There is a large office building across the street from my house where we could all meet up and do the picture meet-greet thing, then roll over to my place and get started working on cars.

1. Will I be there? Yes yes, I will be there since Im helping plan it!
2. What can I do ? Antinuclear Antibody Test, Appendectomy, Colonoscopy, Vasectomy oh wait, CAR SKILLS? Detailing, claybar, wax/shine etc . .
3. What could I use help with ? Rear Sway Bar which Ive heard it super easy. I just dont have the tools to do it.

I'm up for it. I use to do this with my old group couple years bak...7thgencivic.com. We would do minor installs and stuff but generally hang out most of the day and the older crowd would go out later to like ESPN or D&B to close out the meet. We did it yearly too so we tried to make the best of it. Im up for it..people would come from as far as NY and VA Beach

) and I still don't know half the names...I know it will come over time but would rather get it now instead of having to ask later.

I would go to the bbq....i can provide the cooking and food...its all gravy...im new and wouldnt mind meeting ppl wit same desires for their cl-s like mine.....plus some good networking.

NOW THATS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT! Put me down. I'm staying in Alexandria for a few more months so i will definitely make it. I’m not knowledgeable with any type of modifications but I’ll be there for some support and to get ideas. I really hope this works out because it has the potential to be a great time.

SO...
1) Yes!, I'll def be there.
2) A-spec body kit (80% sure I could do the front lip bc I didnt do that myself ... I DID DO MYSELF the sides and rear tho)
3) Don't need help with anything right now ... maybe TEIN SS coilovers .. not sure.
I have the basic tools, battery powered drill, 2 new jack stands, and knee pads for the ground, etc.

Love the LBV and the Blue Body in the pocket!! Plus the moonbeam is an added bonus!! I think we should be able to get that many cars... there is a small court in front of my house that can hold 6 or 7 cars and there is also a row of parking spaces there that people can park in... It shouldn't be a problem...
