Trunk closure type s

New type s owner here-
bone stock so far
maybe just me but is it a PITA to close the trunk for anyone?
i hate having to slam it from the spoiler, esp on a black car-
dont you think it should have an automatic pull-down or something similar?

I just pull from the inside handle with just enough force to close it. I never touch the spoiler anymore. Also I have never had to slam it. You might want to have Acura service department check the lock next time you go in for maintenance.

There seems to be a lot of tension on the springs or whatever pops it up-
when I push the button to open it it flys open all the way pretty fast-
maybe there’s an adjustment on the spring tension?

iirc that’s a feature so that you don’t have to open up the trunk physically if you have bags or something in your hand.

Other than being harder to close compared to previous gens, the trunk design is horrible. If there's water from rain or snow, it basically dumps everything into the trunk when you open it!

Yup-
sure would’ve been nice to have the auto opener/closer like the SUV’s have
but I guess there are worse problems to worry about!

What I hate is that the trunk sticks to the body. When I try to open it from the key fob, 9/10 times I always have to give it a tap for it to unstick.

Purchase some of this ShinEtsu silicone paste & work it into all rubber body seals with a cloth.
All of your 'sticking' issues will disappear.
