Trunk Rattles!

i hate it...the trunk rattles like mad with the subs and they dont even push that much. it sounds like total crap, is there anything i can do to remedy this? i did that little trick with the rubber knob things on the trunk but that only worked a little.

There's a rubber type material that was made for reducing this problem. When you have a sub installed inside the trunk, you should have this type of rubber patch all around the body just to reduce the vibration.

I don't know if this helps, but I have been seeing alot of my friends using this in their trunk and works great.

Anybody can help me on the product's name??

Good luck

DynaMat...I highly recommend it.

Also Rockford Fosgate makes a foam spray that a lot of people use. I hear that works well too.

I have dynamat - it helps but doesnt get rid of it at all. You really cant do anything to totally get rid of it because so much air gets moved inside the trunk, that physically moves the trunk lid.

how do you lower the trunk release hinge?? i also used the rubber stoppers and it still vibrates a lot..
ive been on the car audio boards for a little bit and i heard this Roof Insulation called Peel & Seal can be an equivalent for Dynamat for a very cheap price... i actually just bought 2 rolls of 6" x 25' which should cover more than enough + double layer the trunk lid... i bought each roll at Lowes for 12.47... ill let you know how it turns out after i install it tomorrow.
